From five designs the diffuser head was chosen using Pugh's matrix which compared the different aspects the each design with the others using one as a datum. A weighting system was employed ranking the importance of each aspect and after the process was carried five times so that each design acted as the datum CFD analysis was used to model the top three concepts providing more details allowing for a more informed decision to be made. The devised weighing system was generated by the group and ranked in accordance with relevance to the project.
