Based on the CFD analysis linked here and the energy modelling found here, the final diffuser design was chosen. The diffuser head is shown below with approximate dimensions. The location of the unit was fixed as monitor-mounted. This has the advantage of being able to be retrofitted to any desk with a computer monitor - regardless of the amount of space available on the desk - whilst also providing an excellent unobstructed path from the air outlet to the human breathing zone.
